Senior Test Analyst - Data Centre, Salford Circa £30,000 depending on experience. Your role: You will provide the design, execution and reporting of tests, using appropriate testing tools and techniques to ensure that any software performs as specified and intended. About you: You will have previous experience in IT with exposure to the full project lifestyle and will ideally have experience of testing some of the following: Excel, Access, VB, SQL Server, HTML, ASP, Java Script, VB Script, SAP. The ideal candidate will be educated at least to A-level standard and will hold an ISEB foundation certificate in software testing. With good planning and organisational skills you will be able to deal effectively with unexpected situations and overcome problems. You should be customer focussed and have sound problem solving ability coupled with the ability to anticipate needs and demonstrate initiative. Key responsibilities: - Produces and review master test plan documents.
- Facilitates test strategy workshops.
- Creates and /or co-ordinates the creation of test environments and test data as necessary
- Ensures that documentation is produced detailing test failures and successes compared with pre-determined criteria
- Reports test results to line manager and/or other colleagues in a clear and concise manner
- Conducts test entry and exit reviews, and prepares test completion reports.
- Produces metrics and reports as required by Line Manager
- Contributes to the development of standards and procedures for the effective testing of systems.
